Ace Ventura is a comical character played by Jim Carrey in the films Ace Ventura Pet Detective (1994) and Ace Ventura When Nature Calls (1995). In the films Ventura lives in Miami, Florida where he uses his sharp intellect and wacky techniques to solve crimes dealing with animals.
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Story
The film begins in Miami, with Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey) struggling to make ends meet finding lost pets for wealthy patrons. That is, until the mascot of the Miami Dolphins, “Snowflake,” is kidnapped by unknown criminals days before the Dolphins are to play in the Superbowl. With the help of the Dolphins' Chief Publicist Melissa Robinson (Courtney Cox), Ventura discovers a stone from a Super Bowl ring in Snowflake's tank. Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls Story
Shikaka, a great white bat worshiped by two warring tribes in “Nibia,” has been stolen, and Ventura given the task of finding the bat. Ventura spends the duration of the film conducting his investigation, spying on the tribes, and attempting to discover the bat thief.
