    According to reports, Ghazwan was in close contact with Al Qaeda in Iraq head Abu Ayyub al Masri. Ghazwan was in charge of the "Ghazwan Network," a terrorist cell that operated in the Northern Baghdad region in the Tarimyah and Taji areas.
