Abdifatah Mohammed Elmi is one of the three journalists that were kidnapped in Somalia on August 23, 2008. Elmi is a local photojournalist and acted as a translator and driver for Nigel Brennan and Amanda Lindhout, the two other abducted journalists.CNN: Journalists kidnapped in Somalia (August 24, 2008)
