Abby Mann was an accomplished screenwriter, film producer, and director born in Pennsylvania in 1927. His first attempt at writing a screen play, Judgment at Nuremberg, won him several awards including an Oscar Award.
Mann had great success when he created the television crime drama Kojak which had a five year run.
Mann made his directorial debut with the NBC miniseries King which was about Martin Luther King Jr.
