On March 26, 2010 Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, two members of one of the most successful bands in history, told The Times a one-off intimate performance, a reunion, might be possible. When asked about the suggestion, Andersson said:
'"Yeah, why not? I don't know if the girls sing anything any more. I know Frida was in the studio. It's not a bad idea, actually."'
In recent years, a reunion was seen by many as a virtual impossibility, as one of the female singers, Agnetha Faltskog has completely disappeared from the spotlight, living a drawn-back life. Only two year ago, Bjorn Ulvaeus had commented negatively on the possibility of a comeback reunion, stating:
'"We will never appear on stage again. There is no motivation to regroup. Money is not a factor and we would like people to remember us as we were -- young, exuberant, full of energy and ambition."'
However, the recent success of Mamma Mia the musical and recent movie conversion, combined with the continuing attention through tribute bands like Bjorn Again, who have helped to keep the smooth easy-listening musical style of ABBA alive, may have helped to convince the four band members to join back together for a final reunion.http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE62P2H320100326
The closest ABBA has been to an actual reunion was at the premiere of the movie 'Mamma Mia", which features as much as 22 of ABBA's greatest hit songs, including Dancing Queen and The Winner Takes It All.http://edition.cnn.com/2001/SHOWBIZ/Music/04/20/abba/index.html

ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in 1972. Its band members were Anni-Frid (Frida) Lyngstad , Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Fältskog. While in ABBA, Fältskog and Ulvaeus were married, as were Lyngstad and Andersson. However, both couples later broke up.
ABBA is one of the world's best-selling bands, selling over 375 million records.http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article1082735.ece ABBA's biggest hit singles worldwide are Dancing Queen and Fernando, with Arrival being their biggest hit studio album. ABBA released eight studio albums in total, and 73 singles, seven compilation albums, four video albums and 33 music videos. The last public appearance of ABBA was for a British TV programme The Late, Late Breakfast Show, on December 11, 1982.
Afterwards, Agnetha and Frida each worked on a solo album, while Björn and Benny started songwriting. Even though they never formally split up, their first appearance together wouldn't be until the premiere of Mamma Mia, in 2008.
