Professional National Hockey League player Aaron Miller signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Vancouver Canucks to a one-year contract worth $1.5 million for the 2007-2008 season. In December of 2007, Miller scored on the New Jersey Devils' Martin Brodeur to record his first goal in over four years.
NHL Career
Although Miller was drafted by the New York Rangers in the fifth round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft, he never played for the team. He was traded to the Quebec Nordiques in early 1991 and moved along with the team when they relocated to become the Colorado Avalanche in 1995.
During his 1996-1997 rookie season, Miller played 56 games with the Avalanche and was a contributing factor in their playoff run. After another three successfull seasons in Colorado, Miller was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in February of 2001. A series of injuries over the next few years prevented Miller from playing a full season with the team until his last season with them in 2006-2007.
