  • Brief History

    Aamir Khan was born into a prominent Bollywood film family. He began as a child actor and eventually started doing adult roles, gaining his first commercial hit with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. He then grew into producing and finally directing with his 2007 smash hit Taare Zameen Par.

    He starred in Lagaan in 2001, which won him a Filmfare best actor award. The film went on to get nominated for an academy award.

    He is founder and owner of Aamir Khan Productions, and in 2008 he is set to work on Lajjo opposite Kareena Kapoor.
