A Shadows Tale Garden Labyrinth Walkthrough

This is the last section of the game and also the most difficult. There are sections full of enemies that you must defeat to move on, and each stage is packed with light gates and puzzles that involve both the light and shadow world to the extreme. Players will find themselves going back and forth through the levels, finding and using new light gates to slightly change the level so they can advance, only to run all the way back to the beginning to find the thing that changed. Players also finally face the shadow monster in a duel to the death.

A Shadows Tale Garden Labyrinth Walkthrough

Labyrinth 1

Head to the right across the platforms killing the walker and shooters
Stand on the spiked platform to drop it and hit the pyramid
Memory: Head back to the left and jump onto the raised pillar, then to the right
Continue across the platforms to the right to get locked in, kill the walkers and giant dart
Keep heading right killing the spiders, then drop down before the flame jet
Enter the gate and head a bit southwest
Light Regen: to the south
Push the block onto the button
Exit the gate and climb up to the left
Monitor Eye: drop down to the left
Memory: to the right past the flame jet
Continue right to the next falling platform and hit the pyramid
Backtrack to the left and jump up onto the platform you just lowered
Head to the right and hit the pyramid at the far side
Drop down and head back to the right, past the pyramid you already hit and onto the pillar you raised
Enter the gate, head north and east, then hit a button and backtrack to exit the gate
Head to the right over the gap and climb up to the upper level
Kill/dodge the three giant darts and walker vortex
Keep moving to the right past the light gate you can’t reach
Memory: drop down the next pit
Enter the gate and head to the west
Light Regen: past the next gate through the open doors in the courtyard
Monitor Eye: Head north from the regen point
Return south and east, then exit the next gate
Kill the spinner and rotate the grate between the flame jets
Jump across and enter the next gate, head to the west and hit the button, then backtrack and exit the gate
Backtrack to the pit with the memory and jump up
Head to the left and jump up onto the pillar you raised, then enter the gate
Light Regen: left and up the stairs
Continue left and a bit south and exit the gate
Walk to the left and fight off the jumpers as you get locked in
Enter the gate on the left, go left and press a button
Backtrack and exit the gate
Head to the right and enter the next gate, then head south from the regen point and press the button
Continue east down the stairs and exit the gate
Jump across to the right and enter the next gate
Light Regen: Head east and up the stairs
Head back around south and west and hit the button

Head left and kill the swinger, then retrieve the Shadow Cutter
Continue left into the shadow corridor

In the right spiral rotate right
Climb the first two ladders and lower the wall to the right
Climb the next ladder and rotate to the left
Drop down and enter the spiral, rotate right
Flip the lever, rotate back to the left
Jump up through the opened door and climb the ladder
Head across to the left and rotate right
Climb the ladder, then head to the right and drop down into the next spiral
Rotate right and climb the ladder
Move the girder above you and jump up then head left
Backtrack to the right through the open door and rotate right
Climb up the ladder and exit the corridor
Monitor Eye: head left and kill the walker, then jump onto the pillar
Backtrack to the gate on the right and enter it, exit the gate down the stairs to the south
Break the shadow wall to the right and continue right to exit
Stand on the spiked platform to drop it and hit the pyramid

Labyrinth 2

Head to the right, kill the swarms and hit the pyramid
Raise the platform to the left and jump up to the left
Enter the gate over the pillar you raised
Head southeast down the stairs
Light Regen: In the center of this area
Light Regen: continue east up the stairs
Head north to the pillar and rotate it once counterclockwise
Return to the gate and exit
Head to the right, across the pillar you raised and onto the one you rotated
Continue to the right
Enter the gate and head west then south to press the button
Backtrack to the first gate and enter through the door you opened
Exit the gate at the far side
Jump across the gap and enter the gate to the left
Run up and hit the button, then backtrack and exit the gate
Backtrack all the way to the first gate, then head to the right once more
Jump across to the platform and get locked in
Kill the darts and lure the blue circle shooters into the flame jets
Monitor Eye: head to the right and stand beneath the light gate, rotate the girder beneath you up and enter the gate, then head to the left
Continue to the right and enter the shadow corridor
Health Regen: to the left
Move the girder beneath the right spiral, enter the right spiral and rotate to the right
Jump to the right, move the girder, then continue across to the right
Rotate left and flip the lever, then rotate right
Back across the girder rotate left, move to the left spiral and rotate right
Lower the girder to the left and rotate left in that spiral
Raise the girder and jump across to the right, rotate left
Move the two girders and jump up
Move the left girder back out and follow it to the left
Jump up above the spiral and flip the lever on the platform
Drop back down and head back to the right across the girders
Climb the ladder and jump up the platforms
Head across the platforms to the left dodging the saws then drop down to the spiral
Rotate right
Health Regen: to the right
Climb up the platforms and spike wall blocks to the top, then exit the corridor
Head right and destroy the walker vortex
Continue right across the platforms and past the two flame jets
Drop into the pit and enter the light gate
Light Regen: to the southwest behind the fallen pillar
Push the large box onto the button
Light Regen: up and around the columns to the left
Continue left and push the box all the way right, down, then left onto the button
Light Regen: just past the box/button to the left
Light Regen: through the open gates to the left
Continue left and press the button
Backtrack all the way to the right and exit the gate
Climb back out and head left
Monitor Eye: jump onto the pillar between the flame jets then to the right
Memory: on the pillar to the left
Continue left all the way back past the two light gates on pillars and through the locked area with the blue circle shooters
Memory: jump up on the pillar to the left
Head back to the right past the first light gate and into the second one on top of the pillar
Enter it and head up the stairs to the left, then exit the gate at the top of the stairs
Head to the right, riding the rotating girders across to the right, jumping from one to the next over the spikes
Enter the gate and head down the stairs to the right
Press the button and continue down the stairs, exit the gate
Kill the two darts and head to the left
Drop into the pit with the floater then head to the right through the open gate
Monitor Eye: southeast of the open area
Light Regen: east of the eye
Backtrack and exit the gate
Climb up and head back to the right, break down the shadow wall and exit to the right

Labyrinth 3

Destroy the walker vortex to the right
Memory: jump across the platforms to the right
Continue to the right and enter the shadow corridor
Health Regen: to the right
Enter the spiral to the right and rotate left when it’s safe
Head up the ramp to the right avoiding the spinning blades
Rotate left and flip the switch on the right, then rotate back to the right
Climb up the ladder then jump to the spiral to the right
Rotate left and run across to the spiral on the right
Rotate left and exit to the right
Hit the pyramid to the right then go back to the left and enter the gate
Light Regen: up the stairs to the right by the large mirror
Rotate the mirror twice in either direction
Light Regen: to the right at the intersection
Light Regen: southwest by the next mirror
Continue down the stairs and exit the gate
Head to the left across the platforms and into the locked area
Raise the platforms on the left and right, get the spiders to walk onto them, then lower the platforms and hit the sphere to cook them
Continue left and hit the pyramid
Enter the light gate to the left, then head to the right
Light Regen: to the right before the block and button
Push the block onto the button, then go right and push the next button
Light Regen: to the south through the open door
Continue back to the right and exit the gate
Monitor Eye: Move back to the left, past the gate you entered this area
Enter the light gate to the left and up the stairs, rotate the mirror counterclockwise
Head back northeast to the intersection
Light Regen: northeast by the next mirror
Head east and exit the gate
Head to the right and raise the platforms on either side of the arrow shooters, then hit he pyramid
Continue to the right, wait for the blue rollers to die, then continue right and hit the next pyramid
Enter the gate to the left
Light Regen: to the left through the archway
Monitor Eye: to the southwest
Move the box onto the button
Backtrack to the gate and exit
Head all the way to the left, jump onto the box and hit the pyramid
Enter the gate above the raised column and rotate the mirror twice in either direction
Head back to the center intersection
Light Regen: to the southeast by the last mirror
Continue east and exit the gate
Head to the right and raise the platforms while jumping across over the arrow shooters
When the enemies appear lower the columns to kill the circle shooters, then jump back and take out the giant swarms
Continue to the right and hit the pyramid, then enter the gate
Monitor Eye: to the left through the archway and to the south
Light Regen: left of the eye
Rotate the pillar once clockwise
Backtrack and exit the gate, then head back to the left over the pillars
Memory: to the left past the gate on the column you rotated
Hit the pyramid to the left, then backtrack to the right and enter the gate over the raised pillar
Rotate the mirror once counterclockwise
Head back to the center intersection, then southwest and exit the gate there
Head left all the way to the gate, then all the way back to the right and hit the second button
Head south down the stairs and enter the gate
Move right, break the shadow wall and continue right to exit

Well Yard

Pull the lever and head to the right into the well
Head back and forth, left and right dropping down the platforms
Drop down the ladder, then head to the right and drop down
Lower the pillar to the left, and drop down the falling blocks
Power the platform on the right and lower it
Continue left and right, falling down the platforms all the way to the bottom
At the bottom head to the right
Health Regen: to the right
Enter the elevator to the right and ride it down

Well Bottom

Boss Fight

Here you fight the shadow monster. He drains your health if you are too close to him, he also shoots shadow balls, and his arms stretch out to the limits of the screen in all directions. He will also spawn random monsters to fight.

Kill the monsters to regain some health if you need it, dodge the shadow balls, and watch out for the hand maneuver. He will rotate and large hands will extrude from his body before he prepares to shoot out his hands. You can see where the hands will go since they project from his body, get out of the way of them.

After a few cycles of throwing balls the monster will raise itself up and launch hands that float around the screen on their own. You can attack these hands and kill them with about six swings. He will then lower back down and red eyes will appear inside him. Attack him at this point and below him a light gate will appear.

Enter the gate and press the button just south of you, then return through the gate. The shadow monster will spazz out afterward and cause you some damage, then the cycle starts over

Stepping on the button three times will finish off the shadow monster. Congratulations!
