A Scanner Darkly is a 2006 animated science-fiction film directed by Richard Linklater and based on the novel by Philip K. Dick. The movie was filmed digitally and then interpreted through an interpolated rotoscope over the original footage to create a distinct animated look. This process was used on a previous Linklater film, Waking Life.Rotten Tomatoes: A Scanner Darkly Reviews
