A Raisin in the Sun is a television movie based on a 1959 play of the same name. While the entire family dreams of moving out of their apartment, they all have different ideas of how to spend a $10,000 insurance check. The title was inspired by a Langston Hughes poem about how dreams that are put off dry up like raisins in the sun.
