A Dance with Dragons is a not yet published novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. A Dance with Dragons will be the fifth novel in the series, following A Feast for Crows.

The events of A Dance with Dragons run simultaneously with A Feast for Crows, featuring all the characters who did not make an appearance in the previous novel.

Synopsis

Stannis Baratheon is at the wall trying to get the support of the northmen and the wildlings; at the same time, Jon Snow is the new Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.

Tyrion escapes to Pentos to an unknown destiny...

Meanwhile, Daenerys hones her leadership skills in the administration of the city of Mereen.

Reception

This books is waited with impatience by the large fan base that Martin has created. However, the delay in the publication has caused some irritation amongst the fans.

The author has been unable to finish the book in the set date in repeated occasions

Martin said in October 6 that the manuscript was 1100 pages and "considerably more in partials, fragments, and roughs"
