On July 13, 2008, Microsoft confirmed rumors of a price drop for the 20 GB Xbox 360 model. In addition, a new 60 GB model will also be introduced for $349.¹The price drop will occur in early August as will the debut of the new 60GB model. Albert Penello, the director of product management for Microsoft's Xbox division, stated, "We know consumers need more and more space to store the amazing digital content Xbox 360 offers, and we're giving it to them at no extra charge..."²
