2008 Championship
The 2008 World Chess Championship will take place between October 14 and November 2. The match will be between the 2007 champion, Viswanathan Anand, and the previous world champion, Vladimir Kramnik. The two have played 51 matches against each other since 1989. Anand has won four and Kramnik has won six. The other 41 matches resulted in a draw.
