Woot (Website)
Internet retailer, Woot, is an E-Commerce site that sells a single item on their web site per day. At midnight, Woot begins selling a different item. Usually products sold on Woot are below retail price. Currently, Woot only offers one item for a very good price in limited quantities.

Marketing
There are several ways in which Woot releases information on the product they are selling. Their forum is the primary way in which most people find out their information. However, the Matthew Shultz records a podcast daily describing the product they have for sale. They also have other tools such as an IRC bot and a desktop widget for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X that informs people of the new product for sale.
Woot-Off!
During a Woot-Off, as soon as an item is sold out it is replaced by a new item. A bar in the middle of the page shows how close the item is to selling out. Woot-Offs generate a large amount of traffic for the site. To keep the server burden low, a number of auxiliary sites, called "Woot Trackers", replicate the information in real time. Users can monitor the Woot Trackers to learn whether the item being sold is one they wish to purchase, and then go to the site to purchase the item.
Returning Products
Unlike many bigger retailers, Woot normally does not allow you to return the product that you had purchased. Instead they recommend that you contact the manufacturer or sell it on eBay. The reason for this is because they will not have a replacement product in stock since they usually sell out all of their products each day.
