Witches of Eastwick TV Show
In August 2008, ABC announced plans to create a television series called The Witches of Eastwick, based on John Updike's novel of the same name. A big screen adaptation of the book was made in 1987. The Witches of Eastwick film stars Jack Nicholson, Susan Sarandon, Cher and Michelle Pfeiffer.1

Novel Summary
Three promiscuous witches from Eastwick are enamored of wealthy Darryl VanHorne, a man who is new to their town. The women sleep around, gossip and create havoc with their magical powers. When VanHorne becomes interested in someone else, the witches kill her.
