Macy was born in Miami, Florida on March 13, 1950. He attended Allegany High School in Maryland. He would attend Bethany College of West Virginia the would transfer to Goddard College. With David Mamet he would help found the St. Nicholas Theater Company.
Film Career
Macy's film career would notably begin with small character roles on TV. He would start to garner national attention with his collaborations in films with director David Mamet, such as House of Games, Oleanna and Homicide. He would continue his success as a popular character actor until his Academy Award nominated breakthrough role in the Coen bros film Fargo. He has since starred in several films including Boogie Nights, Pleasantville and Jurassic Park III. He is now considered one of the most popular and versatile actors working in Hollywood today.
