William Burns is the U.S. State Department's third-ranking diplomat. Burns has been chosen to attend a meeting in Switzerland on July 19, 2008, to discuss Iran's development of nuclear arms. Burns will be meeting with Iran's nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili.¹
