White Stripes Cancel Tour
On September 11, 2007, The White Stripes announced the cancellation their North American Fall Tour dates. According to the official statement put out by the band's management team, the cancellation was due to the fact that Meg White was "suffering from acute anxiety and unable to travel at this time."
The band was touring to promote the release of their album Icky Thump, which came out on June 19, 2007.
