Westlife is an Irish pop music group that formed on July 3, 1998. The group's original lineup consisted of Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Bryan McFadden. McFadden left the band in 2004, to pursue a solo career. The group was signed to BMG Records by Simon Cowell. They are currently managed by Louis Walsh.

During the course of their career they have released many hit songs. Some of which are "Swear it Again," "Flying Without Wings," "Against All Odds," "Queen of My Heart," "World of Our Own," "You Raise Me Up," and "Mandy."

Even though they are huge throughout most of the world they have been unsuccessful in breaking into the U.S. market. They released one album in the U.S. and that was their self-titled debut album.

Their newest album, Back Home, was released in 2007, and their current single "Us Against the World" was released on March 3, 2008, and peaked on the UK Official Singles Chart in the number eight spot.
