The Warped Tour is a traveling music and extreme sports festival started in 1994 by Kevin Lyman. Also known as the Vans Warped Tour, the Vans shoe company has been a major sponsor since 1995.

History
Formed in 1994 by Kevin Lyman, the Warped Tour features 100 or so bands from multiple genres, performing on multiple stages. There is also skateboarding and bike demos and merchandise booths at every tour stop.
When the tour started it mainly featured punk and ska bands, but in recent years the lineup has become more diverse with pop punk, metal and Emo bands.
In 1998, the tour scheduled it's first international dates in Australia, Japan, Canada and Europe.
