Wanda Wilson, a former administrative assistant at Georgia Tech's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was charged with two counts of theft after buying a laptop with state funds and using it for storing pornography.

Gambling
In September of 2007 school officials found detailed chat transcripts and emails proving she had been using the computer for a profit-making gambling operation.
Fired From Job
At the time, Wilson was not charged, but was fired from her job due to the fact that she violated the school's policy by conducting outside business while working for the university.
Laptop in 'Storage'
Wilson purchased a laptop from Walmart in 2007 and charged it on a state issued card. When asked about it by investigators, she told them she inadvertently stored it home. Evidence showed that it was in fact in operation at the time it was allegedly in storage.
Charges and Details
In March of 2008, after an in-depth investigation, Wilson was charged with stealing a laptop, web-cam and headset. All the items were charged on the schools account. In addition, it was revealed that Wilson used her school office computer to schedule sexual encounters in her own office.
