Walter Reed Middle School
Walter Reed Middle School is a junior high located in North Hollywood, California. During John McCain's acceptance speech for the 2008 Republican Party nomination for President of the United States, an image of the middle school appeared on the screen behind him. Bloggers have suggested that someone confused images of the middle school with those of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, which was the intended image.1

McCain and the Green Screen
McCain was criticized in June 2008 for outlining his policy differences with Barack Obama in front of a "green screen." Shortly after, Stephen Colbert announced on his Comedy Central show the beginning of the "McCain Green Screen Challenge," where viewers were invited to "make McCain interesting" by placing his image into various backgrounds.
