Info
WWE fans search for match results primarily because they cannot watch the broadcast when it airs. The WWE does not show full repeats of their programs, though USA Network airs abridged versions during the weekend, and the pay-per-views get "encore replays" in the week following the events.
Because Monday Night Raw is shown live on the East Coast of the U.S., but tape delayed for the rest of the country, some fans read the Raw results ahead of time to judge if the show is worth watching. WWE SmackDown! is taped and edited for broadcast on Tuesdays, but fans who attend the tapings often post the results before the show airs on Fridays.
Some fans who do not want to pay for the pay-per-view telecasts can also find results almost immediately (or during) the event broadcasting. It is usually the pay-per-view results posts that give online wrestling "newsboards" the bulk of their traffic.
