Judgment Day is World Wrestling Entertainment's annual pay-per-view event for the month of May. The 2008 edition of Judgment Day will be held on Sunday, May 18th.

The main event at Judgment Day is Randy Orton challenging Triple H for the WWE Championship. Triple H won the title from Orton at Backlash in a Fatal Four-Way match involving John Cena and JBL. The match was made a Steel Cage match by William Regal.

The main event for SmackDown will feature Edge vs. The Undertaker for the vacated World Heavyweight Championship. Undertaker defeated Edge at WrestleMania XXIV to win the title, then successfully defended against Edge in a rematch at Backlash. Undertaker was stripped of the title by Vickie Guerrero for using his triangle choke hold. Edge then won a battle royal to face Undertaker for the belt.

Other matches at Judgment Day include Shawn Michaels against Chris Jericho, John Cena vs. JBL, a WWE Tag Team Championship match and a triple threat match for the WWE Women's Championship.

The first Judgment Day was held on October 18, 1998 in Rosemont, Illinois. The event returned in 2000 to replace Over the Edge, which was no longer used after the death of Owen Hart at the 1999 event. From 2004 to 2006, Judgment Day was a SmackDown! only event.
