Manufactured by Volkswagen, the Polo is sold in Europe and other markets worldwide. The Polo is not available in the United States. Introduced in 1975, the Polo was the company's second hatchback model after the Golf and remained Volkswagen's smallest vehicle until the Volkswagen Lupo was released in 1988. The Polo is currently available in diesel, gasoline and flex fuel models.
