About Trouble in Paradise
Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise features updated graphics, including new water, fur and dynamic weather effects. While Viva Piñata offered 70 different types of piñata, Trouble in Paradise introduces 30 new piñatas to attract to your garden.2 The game also introduces snow and sand environments, which gives players the chance to acquire penguins, polar bears, camels and other terrain-specific piñatas.3
Piñata Vision and Piñata Cards
Piñata cards are a unique feature of Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. Using the Xbox Live Vision camera, players are able to add new piñatas, plants or other accessories to their garden. Each card has a special bar code that, when scanned, automatically adds the card's content to the game.4 Piñata cards can be obtained from a variety of sources: the official Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise website, forums, print media, fan sites or trading with friends.2
An Xbox Live Vision camera is not necessary to play the game or share pictures online.5 Players can create their own cards using the game's in-game camera, called Piñata Vision. Take pictures of piñatas or other objects in the garden and upload them to the official website.2
Multiplayer Mode
Trouble in Paradise features same-box co-op multiplayer mode, which allows a second player to simply plug in an extra controller and pop into the game in progress.3 Multiplayer mode opens up new gameplay opportunities. Performing good deeds, such as weeding the garden, allows the second player to accrue magic that can then be used to heal sick piñatas, turn pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns or perform other feats unavailable to the single player.2
Using Xbox Live, up to four players can play through the entire game together and visit one another's gardens.6
