NHL Career

Vishnevski was drafted fifth overall in the 1998 NHL draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He joined the Ducks in 1999 for his NHL debut and split his first season between the Ducks and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. He earned a full roster spot with the Ducks in the NHL in 2000 and continued with the team until the 2004-05 NHL lockout, when he played for the Khimik Voskresensk in the Russian Super League. Vishnevski was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers on August 17, 2006. After 52 games in Atlanta, he was traded again, going to the Nashville Predators on February 10, 2007. Vishnevski entered the free agency after the 2006-07 season and signed with the New Jersey Devils on July 10, 2007.
