A Vintner or winemaker is a person who makes wine. The process of winemaking starts with the harvesting of grapes. Then the grapes are crushed and allowed to ferment, which allows the liquid to turn into an alcoholic beverage. After the process of fermentation, the liquid is then transferred into vessels for a second fermentation, which allows the remaining sugars to become alcohol and the wine become clear. And then, some wine is set to age, while others are bottled directly. Fast Facts:
