Vince Young Police

On September 8, 2008, NFL star Vince Young left his residence abruptly and in a state which friends characterized as "emotionally down."¹

After being unable to contact Young and with his whereabouts unknown, friends of the former Texas Longhorns standout contacted the Tennessee Titans' management with concerns. Local police were then called in for assistance in locating Young.

After approximately four hours, contact was made and at 11:30 p.m. Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher and a policeman met with Young at the team's headquarters. After the meeting, Fisher declared the concerns "unfounded."²

Young reportedly had an unloaded gun in the glove compartment of his vehicle, which may have contributed to the anxiety of the situation.³
