Utah Wall Arch Collapse
The Wall Arch, located in Utah's Arches National Park, collapsed under its own weight sometime between the night of Monday, August 4th and the morning of Tuesday, August 5, 2008. The park's chief of interpretation, Paul Henderson, said that the arch's collapse was due to gravity and corrosion.
