UAE Cancels Iraqi Debt
According to reports on July 6, 2008, the United Arab Emirates had forgiven billions of dollars in debt owed to it by Iraq.1 In addition, the United Arab Emirates named an ambassador to Iraq. Abdullah Ibrahim al-Shehhi was serving as the country's ambassador to India.2
