Tru2way is quickly becoming the new standard in Cable TV. The technology enables users to have an interactive digital cable service that is delivered through the cable line. Formerly known as OpenCable, Tru2way was unveiled at the 2008 CES presentation by Comcast. Tru2way technology enables cable and other TV services to "write" interactive applications once, which would allow the Tru2way technology that would run on any device that supports the specification.

The Tru2way technology was developed by the consulting firm, Siegal + Gale, during a consultation with Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing. The technology is generally built into televisions or cable boxes. Major cable companies have committed to implementing the platform in an area covering nearly 90 million customers by the end of 2008.
