Trading Spaces

Trading Spaces is a reality TV show based on the BBC television series Changing Rooms, where two sets of neighbors or friends redecorate one room in each other's home. The show has aired since 2000 on the cable channels TLC and Discovery Home.

Premise

Over the course of the episode, two sets of neighbors are given three days and $2,000 to redecorate a room in each other's home. They are assisted by a designer over the course of the redecoration. The teams have no input over what happens in their own homes, but are able to give input into what happened in the home they are redecorating. The rooms are revealed at the end of the last day.
