Toshiba also produces consumer appliances, personal and professional computers, industrial machinery, electronic components, telecommunications, and medical equipment. Toshiba has been a leader in innovation for Japan, having developed many of its first technological advances, including: radar, microwave oven, the MRI, laptops, and HD-DVD.
