No Trade at the 2008 Deadline
Although widely reported to be on the move, Gonzalez was not traded at the 2008 NFL trading deadline. In an exclusive interview with FOXSports.com Gonzalez blasted management and Kansas City Chiefs ownership for not making a deal. Gonzalez felt that ownership was asking too much in a deal for him. At 32 years old, Gonzalez will now be playing for a team that is obviously looking toward the future and not about the post season.5
