Directors Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are teaming up to adapt Herge's poplar comic series The Adventures of Tintin into a series of films. The series will include three films made back-to-back and will utilize a 3-D motion capture technique developed by Weta Digital special effects company.¹ It was confirmed at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, that Spielberg would direct the first film, Jackson the second and both would co-direct the third.²

The Adventures of Tintin follow the Tintin, a young Belgian reporter and traveler, and his faithful dog Snowy on their adventures around the world. In every adventure Tintin, while busy investigating a story, finds himself involved in dangerous cases which force him to take heroic action to save the day.
