Florida high school teacher Tiffany Shepherd claims she was fired from her job on April 23, 2008, after school administrators learned she was moonlighting as a bikini mate on a charter fishing boat.

A spokesperson for the school district says Shepherd was fired for missing too many days at work, and that the school didn't know about the charter boat job until after she was terminated.

Shepherd was one of several women who signed on with the charter fishing boat company "Smokin' Em Charters." Reports say the operation hopes to attract more business by featuring beautiful women in bikinis on their fishing trips. While some of the women were reportedly working topless, Shepherd has said she always wore a bikini.

1. "They're under the impression I'm doing a topless charter, that I'm a stripper. I wasn't doing anything wrong. I wasn't in a thong, I was in a regular bathing suit."
2. "As a matter of fact, when i am on the boat, most of the time, i give biology, marine biology lessons. It works out perfect because a lot of the guys have never been on a boat before. They have never fished, so they are coming off the boat with some fish and a little bit of knowledge."
