Tibetan Terrier
The Tibetan Terrier is a dog believed by many to have originated two thousand years ago in the Lost Valley of Tibet in the Himalayan Mountains. According to legend, they were raised in the monasteries by lamas or Tibetan priests, where they got the name "Holy Dog of Tibet."1

Tibetan Terrier Features
The tibetan terrier is a long coated dog with a double coat. Their undercoat is soft and their outer coat is heavy and sometimes wavy. They come in a wide range of fur colors from white to silver to black. Tibetan terriers have dark, compassionate eyes, and even though their shaggy hair covers them, they have excellent eyesight.1
Living with a Tibetan Terrier
The tibetan terrier can live in a large house, as well as a small apartment. As long as you provide them sufficient exercise they can maintain their health. Loving and fun, they are not happy when left alone and like to bark when encountering strangers. Better with older children, tibetan terriers are watchful and smart, yet like to try and dominate when there are other dogs.2
