Member Note: A Theme Park consists of a collection of games, rides, restaurants, shops, shows, and other attractions designed to entertain diverse groups of people. Larger than the county fair and less mobile than traveling carnivals, theme parks likely evolved from both. Although the two terms are often used interchangeably, theme parks can be differentiated from amusement parks in that the attractions are based on a common theme, such as the Wild West or Disney.
