The Women
The Women is a modern-day remake of the 1930s play and film of the same name, following female relationships in elite Manhattan society. Diane English, of Murphy Brown fame, writes, directs and produces the movie.
The film opens in theaters on September 12, 2008, starring Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Debra Messing and Jada Pinkett-Smith.1

The Women Synopsis
Part-time fashion designer Mary Haines (Meg Ryan) finds support among her friends, when she finds out that her husband is cheating on her. However, Haines' best friend Sylvie Fowler (Annette Bening) is in jeopardy of losing her job, and in order to become a success, Fowler chooses to betray Haines.1
