Gameplay
The gameplay is similar to the previous installments of The Sims games in that you create your character(s), build your home, get a job, and lead the American dream all the while making sure that you meet the basic needs of your characters. You control your characters by various action menus that pop up when you click on a specific object or person. From there you can choose different actions. Most of the actions have remained the same. You also, like the previous games, must gain certain skills to reach the top of your job by either reading a book (for cooking, mechanical, and cleaning) or by actions (making a speech into a mirror, playing chess). As you can continue playing through the generations, the game continues indefinitely.
