The Search for Elle Woods Winner

On July 21, 2008, Bailey Hanks was crowned the winner of MTV's The Search for Elle Woods. She has recorded the song "So Much Better" from the musical. The track was released on iTunes and Amazon on July 22. Hanks' debut performance as Elle Woods is scheduled at the Palace Theater on July 23.¹

The Premise

Ten women competed to become the next Elle Woods in the Broadway show Legally Blonde. The winner replaces Laura Bell Bundy in the starring role on July 23, 2008. The final four contestants were Autumn Hulbert, Bailey Hanks, Laura Zakrin and Rhiannon Hansen. Hulbert, Zakrin and Hansen also secured supporting roles in the stage show.⁴
