The Princess and the Frog
The Princess and the Frog is a 2009 animated Disney movie directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, who also helmed The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. The Princess and the Frog is the first 2-D animated feature Disney has made since Home on the Range, and it is also the first Disney animated film to feature an African-American princess.
The Princess and the Frog, which was originally titled The Frog Princess, is set in New Orleans during the Jazz Age and follows the adventures of a princess named "Tiana" (voiced by Anika Noni Rose).
The Princess and the Frog was written by Ron Clements, John Musker and Rob Edwards, produced by Peter Del Vecho, and its music was written by Randy Newman. The film is set for release by Disney Pictures on December 25, 2009.
