Plot Summary
Gentle, shy Sherman Klump is a brilliant, yet overweight professor. He invents a tonic that instantly transforms the drinker into a thinner version of themselves. Frustrated with traditional methods of weight loss and eager to catch the eye of his beautiful colleague Carla Purty (Jada Pinkett-Smith, Klump drinks the tonic and is transformed into the handsome, yet obnoxious Buddy Love. Klump soon discovers that his tonic has undesirable side effects and must ultimately choose between being thin and being himself.
