Comedic talk radio program The Howard Stern Show broadcasts live Monday through Thursday on the Howard 101 Sirius Satellite Radio channel from 5:55-11:00 am Pacific time.

Hosted by outspoken and unapologetic shock-jock and self-proclaimed "King of All Media," Howard Stern, the show features Stern, his staff, various regular and celebrity guests and callers discussing various news and popular culture topics. Regular games and bits, such as the "Wheel of Sex," "The Stupid Bowl," "Win Fred's Money," and "The Tickle Chair" result in prizes for winners and humiliation for the losers.

No subject is taboo for The Howard Stern Show panel and controversy often stems from Stern's unabashed sexual and racial humor, which resulted in almost $500,000 in FCC fines for Clear Channel in 2004 alone.¹

After being dropped from Clear Channel in 2004, Stern signed a five-year, $500 million contract with Sirius radio.²The shift to satellite radio allowed the show to broadcast without the FCC content restrictions that had previously plagued it.

On April 10, 2008 comedian Artie Lange resigned from his position on The Howard Stern Show after a heated dispute with his assistant, "Teddy Microphone." Lange had been a regular fixture on the show since 2001.³
