The Dillinger Escape Plan is a Heavy metal band known for their intense performances and technical musical proficiency, with a style that is often described as Mathcore. Their name comes from the bank robber John Dillinger and their early shows included an homage to him. The band was once lead by ex-Faith No More frontman Mike Patton. The Dillinger Escape Plan is known to have fire breathing and other special effects at their shows.
