The Curse of Monkey Island

The Curse of Monkey Island is the third game in the series of Monkey Island games. This game was the last to use LucasArts' SCUMM engine. The SCUMM engine makes it easier for the game developers to design the graphical interface. This game is designed more cartoonish than previous games, and is the first Monkey Island game to features voice acting.

Story

Guybrush Threepwood, a kid featured in all previous Monkey Island video games, When the game begins he is in a floating bumper car with two helium balloons, but does not remember how he got there. Later in the story, he re-unites with the wife of his dreams, Elaine Marley. The ring he gives her, however, is cursed and turns her into a gold statue. Threepwood has to travel to Blood Island to find an uncursed diamond ring to break the spell.
