The Big Lebowski
The Big Lebowski is a film by the Coen Brothers starring Jeff Bridges and John Goodman. The comedy follows Jeffrey Lebowski (Bridges), a bowling enthusiast and perennial slacker known by his friends and colleagues simply as "The Dude," when he is accidentally mixed up in a kidnapping scandal that involves a millionaire who shares his name.
The Big Lebowski has become a cult favorite, so much so that there is a yearly event dubbed "Lebowski Fest" in which fans gather to celebrate the film. The Coen Brothers are also known for movies such as Fargo and No Country for Old Men.
