The Bartimaeus Trilogy

Set in an alternate history to our own, the The Bartimaeus Trilogy tells its story through the eyes of three characters. The books conceive that magic, magicians, and demons have been active throughout history and have thus radically altered it. In the story's alternate history, a type of feudal society exists, where the people are mainly of two classes: A governing class of Magicians and the commoners, who make up the rest of society.
