The Bangles

The Bangles are an all-girl group from Los Angeles that were part of the Paisley Underground scene of the 1980s and became famous with a string of hits, including "Walk Like An Egyptian", "Eternal Flame", and "Manic Monday". While the band's debut full length album All Over the Place was well received, it wasn't until their 1986 album Different Light that The Bangles became fixtures of mainstream radio and MTV video airplay. Although the band followed it up with the hit 1988 album Everything, creative tensions within th group caused the band to break up that same year. The band reunited in 2000 and continue to perform.
